Dr Vorachack Kongphet
Renewable Energy and Power Systems Specialist

Dr Vorachack is an electrical and renewable energy specialist with experience in power systems, solar PV, wind energy, transmission infrastructure and engineering education. He currently serves as a Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at the National University of Laos, where he contributes to curriculum development, applied research, industry collaboration and international academic partnerships.

His consulting experience includes leading feasibility and grid-connection studies for major wind power projects, developing technical guidelines for solar power project inspection, operation and safety, and supporting government capacity building in the evaluation of solar feasibility studies. He has also managed electrical infrastructure projects involving substations and transmission lines.

Dr Vorachack holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Université Paris-Saclay, France, specialising in fault detection for solar PV modules using current-voltage characteristics. He also holds an International Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Systems from ENSEEIHT-INPT, France, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Energy Engineering from the Institute of Technology of Cambodia.
